Bought a tray from a thrift store for $1 and a bag of 100 corks for $1 at a flea market and made a serving tray! Just need to find a circular piece of glass to finish it off #crafty #pinterestinspired #diy #winecorks #wine #mykindofsaturdaynight
Throughout my undergrad and graduate program my friends and family still have no idea what exactly a Public Health Professional does… well we can do it all :-) research, education, health care, grants, program planning and evaluation, wellness etc. etc.
I was asked to make Baby Booties for a shower gift. They came out pretty cute. #crochet @threesweettulips
Oysters, Aquarium, Beaches, Ice Cream, Beautiful Weather, and Lots of Walking…Just what I needed! #Monterey @mjmike1880
Going to miss my screeners! My first time managing 14+ people and they made it easy! Love the puppy and that they hot glued the Stanford’s Wellness Program logo on the dog’s collar. @celitabs
Probably one of the best experiences during my MPH program. 3.5 months away from graduation!! #firstauthor #abstractpresentation #400hourinternship #hardworkpaidoff
I have worked at Stanford full time for the past two years coordinating an employee wellness program while completing my Master’s in Public Health full time. Every semester, usually around midterms, I have some sort of breakdown and feel like I just can’t handle school, work, the bf, and everything else pulling me in all different directions. I feel bad that I am spread so thin that I can’t give each of my commitments the attention they deserve. I graduate May 23 this year and my 1st day of school was this past Wednesday. I have some really big projects happening at work and the entire time I was in class on Wednesday night (after working a full day that morning) all I could think about was work and all the things I need to get done, all while my professor is lecturing and going over the many many culminating projects required to graduate. Let’s just say my breakdown happened earlier than usual this year - that night - and I made the decision to put my two week notice in at work and concentrate fully on school. I can’t say everyone in my life is super supportive of me walking away from my position at work but I have the support of my immediate family and my boyfriend and that’s all I really need. I am so excited for the 1st time ever to just go to school and not work!!
